"As a 25 year martial arts veteran and full time professional Master Instructor, I trained with many different Masters and GrandMasters around the world over the years. I would highly recommend Master Fraser as a talented and passionate instructor who really knows his art. When you have an Instructor such as Master Fraser, that other high level martial artists seek out to train under, that speaks volumes about his authenticity and skills.

The main reasons why I train with Greg is because of the variety of things you can't teach. Greg isn'tlimited to just ground or just standing, he can do it all. Also Greg shows why we have to do certain things and how someone could get out of a hold or a lock. Lastly Greg is very kind and patient.
Skip Redford, a Professional Golf Fitness & Mental Conditioning Coach talks about his experience training privately with Greg Fraser for the past 2 years. Skip was already a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, so he speaks from experience with over 25 years in the martial arts.
Nathan De Jesus speaks about his experience with Adaptive Self Defense training with Greg Fraser's Jing Shen Kuoshu. If there is one thing that everyone with a disability or mobility issues should learn, is Adaptive Self Defense.
I started training with Greg in the Jing Shen Kuoshu system back in April. Greg spotted me walking passed his gym holding a pair of red boxing gloves and struck up a conversation, asking me about what I currently trained in and where. I told him I'd been training for the last year at a popular mma gym in the area and was mainly training privates and classes in boxing and Muay Thai. For the most part, as far as learning technique goes, I'd been hitting bags and pads a lot up until then and had been expressing my desire to get into sparring more- pads don't hit back and I wanted to take the next step and wasn't getting where I wanted to be. I also was disappointed with how flakey some of the main coaches had been on my private sessions over the passed year there and that I hadn't been able to get in the amount of private sessions I'd aimed at weekly from the start. My goal, the whole time at my previous 2 gyms, was to train to be a well rounded mma sport fighter with boxing and wrestling being my main base and compete in the Parq Industry Boxing fights. Talking to Greg that day, it was obvious he was fluent and more than qualified to train me in more than just what I'd initially had thought were the best styles to start with. He gave me a run down of what he teaches and how I could benefit training under the Jing Shen Kuoshu system. Because this was all such a random conversation, I didn't know what to really think about it all. I'd been planning on leaving my current gym and had been reading a lot of reviews all week, trying to figure out where I was going to head to next to get the training I was looking for. Prior to Greg, in total, I'd trained privately with 3 boxing/Muay Thai coaches and publicly with 2 other Muay Thai class coaches. I went home and searched Greg Fraser and Jing Shen Kuoshu and was instantly blown away by his resume and also by some of the best boxing technique video instruction I've seen. His video on Street Boxing-the Swing step and the Bump, (https://youtu.be/RlDoeBn7Gdo)
plus the video on 4 ways to knock someone out (https://youtu.be/VTWtpcYiDw4), were so well instructed, offering so much knowledge just in a short video. I'm a nerd when it comes to fight technique and theory and, from just a first meeting and watching a few short videos of his that night, I could tell that Greg's Fight IQ was on a much higher level than any coach I'd worked with or even seen online. Within a short amount of time of researching Greg's credentials, I decided I'd be a fool to pass up such a great opportunity and felt fortunate that I was offered the chance to come back and try it out in the first place.
Greg has been involved in a wide variety of martial arts since he was 5 years old and it certainly shows in his sessions. He has competed in a variety of competitive and combat sports, has trained mma legends and taken them to the next level, has trained local security how to be more effective, and yet safer for everyone involved in any incident. He has Instructed the local police and special forces in tactical weapons handling and many men and women can attest to how much more confident and prepared they are to deal with an attacker since training with Greg. At a higher level of instruction and experience than most, Greg has been able to take his knowledge in general and combat sports, along with his degree in kinesiology, and develope an excellent system that can help people with all kinds of movement disabilities to be able to defend themselves. This same knowledge of the human body and movement seperate him from your average personal trainer/coach out here. There's no flakiness here, Greg is clearly passionate in what he's dedicated his whole life to and it shows in every session. No matter what it is you're striving for, Greg loves to teach those who have specific goals they're aiming for. He encourages questions, ideas, isn't closed off to branching out and learning new things himself and, shown though the wide variety of ages and people with disabilities he teaches, Greg has a lot of patience and doesn't get annoyed if I don't catch things right away. He just changes how he words or demonstrates an idea until it clicks, showing once again his years of knowledge and coaching adaptability. None of it is a cookie cutter system you've seen before, Greg is the real deal and his style and system is geared towards real situations. Thanks to Greg, I'm not only better prepared to face someone in a ring or cage, but also in the streets if need be. Each of his sessions are taylored to each individual clients specific goals and capabilities for whatever it is they're trying to achieve. Since training with Greg, I've gone from just hitting bags and pads, to getting in a ton of method, detailed technique tips and tons of that much needed sparring time that I wasn't getting prior. Not only now am I learning how to move and actually fight people, not just mitts, but I've also learned so many more techniques taken from other combat sports and self defense systems that, I would've never imagined taking up, until Greg showed me how so many of them tie in together and help your training move along quicker e.g. I would've never have desired to learn knife and stick fighting skills, had Greg not down me how they tie in nicely together in teaching your body how to move and flow properly. I went into Jing Shen Kuosho to learn how to box effectively and get into wrestling also, I now regularly train in Western boxing, wrestling, Chin na, Chi Sau boxing, Jui-jitsu and bladed weapons and can't get enough!

I am 40 years old and have trained with Greg Fraser since 1999. In that time, I have been fortunate enough to experience a wide spectrum of the martial arts and the amazing benefits of training with an expert kinesiologist and martial scientist. This was especially beneficial in my day to day struggle as a person with Crohn’s Disease.
Originally, I met Greg through his boxing program, but soon fell in love with his self defense style (based largely in Shaolin Chin Na and Wing Chun), which is the basis for his adaptive self defense program. Mr. Fraser’s adaptive programs involve a completely unique form of training which blends rehabilitative functional fitness with self defense and martial arts; improving balance, motor control, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, strength, confidence and self esteem.
On January 17th, 2007, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer; which I fought best I could, training as much as I could with Jing Shen and Greg Fraser. I credit the JSK program and Mr. Fraser for my ability to maintain my mental composure and fighting spirit during that time, which was probably one of the hardest time periods of my life.
The cancer recurred twice after; in 2008 and 2010, culminating in a Stage 4 diagnosis. Told that present day medication could only hope to slow it down, and that possibly experimental trials of new medications could be my only hope, I endured what was to be my final 8 months of chemotherapy and when I was able to, began training once again with Greg’s Jing Shen adaptive martial arts (as I was not strong enough to train in a traditional boxing or martial arts routine at the time). Again, Jing Shen helped me to rebuild not only my physical strength and speed, but my mental focus and determination. This month will mark ten years since I was initially diagnosed. I have been in remission for six years.
While I cannot say Jing Shen was the direct reason for my survival and subsequent recovery from Stage 4 cancer; I can say that it was massively instrumental in strengthening me mentally, physically and emotionally. With a stress-related illness such as Crohn’s as well as during times of extreme duress (such as cancer treatment); mental health is something not to be taken lightly or for granted.
At a time when my doctors no longer had answers or hopes to my one day being cancer-free; Jing Shen allowed me to stay mentally strong enough to keep fighting and not give up hope. That being said; if mind over matter is a real principle - I also cannot say that the Jing Shen program and Greg Fraser are NOT the direct reason for it.
I have now worked directly with Greg and Jing Shen/All Terrain Fitness for several years and I have continually seen the benefits of his program reflected in the cases hundreds of different people with hundreds of different disabilities and/or debilitating conditions. The one thing they all had in common was a positive response to the adaptive/rehabilitative martial arts training, both physically and mentally.
I am a firm believer in the value of Jing Shen and would fully recommend it to anyone looking to find a way to mentally and physically rehabilitate or learn a highly efficient self defense system. This recommendation is without reserve; whether you are young or old; whether you are a person living with physical or mental disabilities or suffering from a chronic illness…or if you just want to find a great new way to meet some incredible people and learn some new ways to defend yourself, you won’t find a more knowledgeable, more inspiring or more caring instructor than Grand Master Greg Fraser.
Greg kicks my butt in self defense-styled training. His education when it comes to training is through the roof and, coming from another personal trainer, he continues to teach me new forms of training that improve my skills and knowledge as a trainer. Greg puts time and effort into his clients to ensure progress that's safe and injury-free which is important when it comes to self defense & adaptive training. His work speaks for itself! I've been with him for a year already and still have so much to learn from him. Thank you for all you do!
I have been training martial arts for over 26 years. During this time , I reached the rank of Master 5th degree black belt in the art of Tang Soo Do. It gives me a little creditability when truthfully saying that Grandmaster Fraser is one of the most knowledgeable, talented and creative instructors that I have ever trained under. I met Master Fraser 4 years ago and I actually learned what I do not know. Greg has taught me a very high level of self defense. His communication skills are simply amazing . Besides being a great instructor, he is a good person. Greg also works with people who have disabilities. This takes a very special instructor to be able to teach adaptive self defense .He gives them a sense of security and self worth in the manner that he teaches. Whether you are young , old or have a disability, Grandmaster Fraser can effectively teach anybody self defense.

I met Greg through a friend who is training with him for industry fights and mixed martial arts, I have a background in wrestling and ju jitsu and my friend wanted some one who could help with his ground game, at first I was just there to help out! but after multiple sessions I was amazed how Greg seamlessly fused the different styles of martial arts and boxing and now I can't get enough!! I've learned more in the past few months than I have in many years! His simple but effective techniques are amazing and it's also a blast every session, his laid back personality and endless knowledge make him one of the best trainers I've ever had the opportunity to work with!!
